Why this matters
Maine is home to nationally significant coldwater resources. Our work focuses on sustained, practical conservation—protecting headwaters, reconnecting fragmented habitat, restoring watersheds, and mobilizing communities to sustain progress over the long term.
Events & education
The Council and chapters host events, workshops, and youth programs that connect anglers with conservation work. This section stays informational: what’s coming up, and how to participate.
Please join the Royal River Alliance for World Fish Migration Day – Saturday, May 23rd from 12–3 PM at Sparhawk Mill in Yarmouth featuring guided tours, demos, guest speakers, hands-on fun for kids, exhibitors and food & drink available for purchase—including Sparhawk Tavern's take-out lunch and Brickyard Hollow’s “Upstream” tribute beer! TU is a member of the alliance and has been involved with restoring the Royal River since before RRA was founded.
