The Maine Council
The Maine Council of Trout Unlimited’s mission is to conserve, protect
and restore Maine’s coldwater fisheries and their watersheds.
The Maine Council is comprised of delegates from all six of Maine’s Trout Unlimited chapters. These delegates work to support chapters, guide restoration projects, advocate for the waters in Maine, and educate the public and youth.
From the removal of dams on the Kennebec and Penobscot River’s to surveys of remote beaver ponds for native brook trout that deserve protection, the Maine Council is working to conserve, protect and restore Maine’s coldwater fisheries and their watersheds.

Trout Unlimited
Trout Unlimited is a national organization with more than 140,000 volunteers organized into about 400 chapters from Maine to Montana to Alaska. This dedicated grassroots army is matched by a respected staff of lawyers, policy experts and scientists, who work out of more than 30 offices nationwide.
